Programme Lead

Role Responsibility

The Role
We are looking for a Programme Lead to join us to ensure all pipeline and in-flight projects are equipped to succeed. Reporting to Head of Projects and Programmes, the Programme Lead has oversight of the customer priorities and new initiatives to ensure we can schedule and resource project change efficiently. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Programme Management or Senior IT Project Management positions and recent experience in an IT environment.

This role can be home-based however the successful candidate would be required to attend our office at least once per month in our Kings Hill location to attend meetings and to collaborate with the team.

Key Duties

  • Manage and review the Project Finances across the Programme to ensure they remain in budget and find solutions if this not the case
  • Provide guidance, documentation and metrics related to the practises involved with the Programme, ensuring the Programme Team are adhering to Cantium standards
  • To create a method of monitoring the progress of the company’s programmes and improve efficiency. Building business cases where necessary to support improvements where necessary
  • Preparing reports and updating Head of Projects and Programmes and other stakeholders about the programme
  • Ensure the Projects within the Programme adhere to internal Governance Stage Gate Process
  • Actively source resources through our partner networks and direct recruitment working with HR and the service towers
  • Developing the assigned accounts working closely with the lead architect on roadmap projects and Account Director on commercials
  • Line management responsibilities for all direct reports associated with the Programme, providing coaching, mentoring and support.

What we need from you

  • Professional qualification such as, Prince2, MSP, APM or P30 Foundation
  • Recent experience working in IT Programme Leadership or significant experience in IT Senior Project Management with the ability to handle complex IT project portfolio autonomously
  • Advanced MS Office Skills and Excel
  • Experienced in using SharePoint, Office Products, Power BI and ServiceNow
  • Proven experience in managing and improving processes
  • Knowledge of Project Management tools and governance
  • Excellent understanding of ICT strategy, roadmaps, standards ect
  • Experience with Azure, Intune and Microsoft (desirable)
